**UPDATE: Princess 2005 Alaska CC Group Cruise

Princess has finally released itineraries for 2005 Inside Passage Cruises but doesn't have group pricing firmed up yet. icon_rolleyes.gif We have asked -- dare I say "bugged" -- the agencies to keep checking but mark your calendars for the end of July (most likely July 25 Saturday sailing) on the beautiful Diamond Princess roundtrip from Seattle! This time frame takes advantage of the salmon runs and optional tours from Ketchikan to Anan Creek to watch what we know are "cooperative" bears fishin' for their dinner!

SOOOO, if you've planned to head north to Alaska next year, OR can be easily enticed by breathtaking scenery, fantastic shore activities and the added "plus" of cruising with one of our great Cruise Critic groups, you don't want to miss this one!

Princess offers three cruisetours to the Canadian Rockies that can be combined with the Inside Passage Cruises from Seattle and, of course, Seattle and the surrounding area lend themselves to at least 2-3 days of touring, seafood and sightseeingicon_smile.gif

All you West Coasters who have clamored for a CC group cruise from Seattle-- your wish has been granted! No border crossing to hassle with, drivable for many of you and a more convenient, less expensive fly-in destination for the rest of us.

Don't touch that mouse! Stay tuned-- we've got "the Captain" lookin' for those rates icon_biggrin.gif

Forgot to mention there will also be optional pre-cruise hotel package in Seattle with the cruise for those of you wishing to come early to take advantage of this neat city. There is a thread here on the Alaska board from a recent cruise on Diamond Princess if you want a little preview...
