Rare makai 7 Posted September 5, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 5, 2007 Has anyone taken this trip lately? It is a 5 1/2 hour tour (booked privately). Where do they have lunch? We are looking to "see the sights" and not go swimming, perhaps walk a bit here and there. We will be in Barbados this November (on the Noordam) and want to see as much of the island as we can. Thanks!
flamingogal Posted September 13, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 13, 2007 We took a Jeep tour w/ Adventure Safari last November. A lot of fun, drove over hill and dale, saw lots of the island (though not all), stopped for a visit w/ some monkeys, and a quick stop in Bathsheba. All in all we had a good time. We also asked our driver to drop us off at the Mount Gay factory for some shopping, and he waited for us to finish and then took us back to the ship giving us a narrative tour of the "better homes and gardens" district. The lunch stop is at an outdoor cafe/barbeque - pretty good food, beer, etc. Its a fun tour, but can be bumpy at times.
Rare makai 7 Posted September 14, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted September 14, 2007 Thank you so much! I sounds like there were no stops for swimming (which is good...) Did you get to stop and take photos? How many people were on your tour? Bumpy is no problem. We took a 4x4 (land rover) tour on Tahiti and other jeep tours in the Marquesas. Much better than an air conditioned bus!
