Miami Hotels

Try checking the ports of call boards. They have a lot of posts for hotels in Miami. I am going to be staying at the Radisson downtown in Miami... booked it on priceline and hotwire for $50 per night plus taxes. It books normally for $240, so I think I got a pretty good deal.

you can also check in the East Coast Departures thread.. there are lots of posts about miami hotels in that forum. We are staying at the La Quinta Inn Miami Airport East just cause its the cheapest but decent place i've found and has airport and port transportation.

If you want to stay more downtown lots of people stay at the Holiday Inn on biscayne blvd. . that hotel doesn't have airport or port transportation though but is right across the street from bayside market. .also i've heard the Intercontinental is nice as well. Hope that helps

I live in Miami and know about most of the hotels. If you don't mind being about 10 min. from the port, stay in South Beach. Anywhere on Ocean Drive - its a great area, our "art deco" district. It has nice shops, hotels and restaraunts. There is nothing to do in DowntownMiami (near port) except Bayside, which is nice, but a real "tourist" spot.

Rates should be good now - it's still reallllllly hot!!

P.S. Cab ride from SB to the Port is about $15.
