Explorer of the Seas - Promenade Cabins

My husband and I are considering booking a promenade cabin, instead of our usual inside cabin. We are going to be traveling with our three year old son and thought it might be a little bigger and better because of it's central location on the ship.

Any thoughts??

I have stayed in the promenade rooms on the Mariner and will staying on one in February as well. They are quite nice, but these rooms are strictly for 2 people and there is not room for an extra sleeping space.
