wernew2cruising Posted September 6, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2007 Lisa, Thank you so much for taking the time to answer everyone's (including mine) questions pertaining to all that is Aruba. I have another question. In another thread you answered for me with a link to Aruba heli-tours. My question is...how far is this from where the ship docks, do you know? Have you ever done this? I am terrified of flying, do you think I will be able to handle a helicopter? Thanks so much.
Arubalisa Posted September 7, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 7, 2007 My pleasure in answering you questions. :D :D LOL- I am afraid of heights and will not climb a ladder. I am going to do the helicopter tour in December or June, maybe both! Who could resist scenes like these. http://picasaweb.google.com/dreamingwithyou/ArubaHelicopterTour2007 You can walk to the helipad from the ship. If they allowed you to jump from the ship and swim over it would be REAL easy. For now I suppose you are stuck walking the long way around. The Red "H" denotes the helipad. the cruise ship terminal is lower left hand corner- bottom most lavender colored buildings. In this aerial view you can see the proximity from the ship.

Thanks for the directions as well. Guess I will give this a try. After all, it IS only 25 minutes of my life. I can handle it. Another question for you....we dock at 7am and the helitours do not open until 10. We will take our time getting off the ship, but is there anything in the area we can do before for an hour or so? Once again..thank you for all your help on this board. In the photo, the terminal extends down from the top left side of the pic just below Mar Azul.
