Has anyone stayed in one the obstructed view rooms on Deck 8. Dont mind looking at a lifeboat but somwhere along the way I found mention that some of the rooms may have a porthole. I found this hard to believe but just wanted to check it out

Thanks

We just got back from the Alaskan cruise aboard the Star.

We stayed in cabin 8088. I knew it was an obstructed view going in.

Somewhere (I'm sure someone else can help you find the link) I found the exact cabin #8088. It listed each amenity and sq. footage, etc. It also said 90% obstructed view. And, it was. I could see a little sliver of water out one window if I really leaned over the bed. I will say that there was two windows in the cabin so even with the lifeboat in front, it let in more light. We paid less for this room which was fine with us. We are in our cabin very little. Don't worry.
