VISA Check card

It was our last night of our cruise and we wanted to have a little more cash on hand for our trip home after we left the Caribbean Princess. Just wanted $100 or so and decided to get it from the Passenger Services desk at 3% rather than a 6%-7% hit at the ATM. We used our VISA Check card with no problem.

 

The debit hit my checking account last night, 8/25. The thing is we got off the boat on 7/31, almost a month ago!

That is unusual, most debits show up within a week, Credits on the other hand take 4-8 weeks.

My hubby used his visa check card too last year while on the Radiance of the Seas. Once he settled the account we assumed that it would be posted with in a day or two. However, it was about a month before it hit the account. I thought that was weird since when we use the card locally it posts within a day.

It am continually puzzled as to why the real charges take so long when the holds go through daily. I think my record is a little over two weeks though.
