Best day use on the beach in hotel zone? (PV)

In Puerto Vallarta:

 

Any recommendations within walking distance of port? Would like to find nicer hotel, clean beach so that we can just rent chairs and umbrella and order cocktails.

 

Spent a week there last fall but didn't get up to this area.
