Dunns River Falls -Crocs?

Just wondering if anyone's ever climbed the falls in Crocs. My kids all have Crocs that they wear constantly and I'm wondering if they could use these to climb the falls or if they'd need separate "water shoes"? My kids are 11, 8 and 6 and quite comfortable in the water. My main concern with crocs is if they'd provide enough grip on the rocks. The fewer things to pack the better, but certainly their safety is my primary concern. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

not sure about the crocs and the rocks...we had water socks/shoes what ever you want to call them. the rocks were still very slick! we had 12 in our group and half fell. a pair of water shoes don't take up any packing room...and might be better than the crocs for the younger ones

There was a women in our group who had crocs and they made her rent water shoes. The rent them for 5 dollars and they are cleaned. So if you dont want to take shoes they offer them there. The climb is very mossy so you slide a lot. I love crocs and wear them daily. I know that I could not have climbed the falls in crocs.

Enjoy your trip

Also try to avoid the cruise ship tours. My aunt went trough the ship paid 65 and I took a cab and got into the park for 15 dollars. If you want details let me know. Jamaica can be scary so a lot of people opt to take ship tours. We had no trouble in Jamacia. Loved it
