Tiger Shark Posted September 14, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 14, 2007 There are several excursions DH and I are interested in, but they all overlap each other timewise. Since we'll be in port for 8 hours, this really doesn't make sense to us. Can anyone tell me what the reason for this might be? Are we missing something obvious? And if we choose to just wander around on our own, how hard will it be to find the historium and Truman little white house? TIA:)

TIA:) I can't help with Carnival's overlap on the excursions; but don't worry about finding the Historeum or Truman's Little White House as you will be just steps away from both. Have a great visit! Tiger Shark Posted September 14, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted September 14, 2007 Thanks so much Mike! We enjoy walking, but should we invest in a Trolley ticket to see the whole island? Will we be too tired after seeing everything to walk back to the ship?
bhopal21 Posted September 14, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 14, 2007 You will get other opinions; but since this will be your first visit I would take the Conch Tour Train which will give you a very informative 90 minute tour of the island and then you will be free to do the things that interest you most. The Trolley (owned by the same company) is basically the same but takes longer and stops to let people on and off at predetermined stops. You should make the trek back to the ship easily.:) Btw you can save some money if you buy your Train/Trolley tickets online ahead of time at http://www.trustedtours.com/store/Conch-Tour-Train-Key-West-C115.aspx Mike:)
