bepsf Posted September 17, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2007 Does HAL have something that compares to Celebrity's Aquaspa? What's an Aquaspa? HAL has a spa w/ Thassolotherapy pool, treatment rooms, heated loungers, aromatherapy showers, steam and saunas, etc...
newfarmers Posted September 18, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 18, 2007 On the Millenium class ships its a covered thalasso pool (free) with a cafe that serves spa food and drinks (also free). the actual Steiner operated spa with the turkish steam room, massage etc just forward of the pool. I think the pool costs on other X ships. We've only been on Infinity.
Sea Island Lady Posted September 18, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 18, 2007 Yes, the Celebrity Millennium class aqua-spa area is free (or at least it was on our cruise) and it was a delight! The messaging "rollers" in the pool were one of the highlights for relaxation on our cruise! I don't know how it compares to HAL's, and I guess I will never know! I think it's ridiculous to charge so much for a service that should be free on a ship - at least for spa customers.
Sea Island Lady Posted September 18, 2007 #5 Share Posted September 18, 2007 Whoops! That should be "massaging" in the above reply. :o
newfarmers Posted September 18, 2007 #6 Share Posted September 18, 2007 Whoops! That should be "massaging" in the above reply. :o I missed it when I read your message first. Messaging - bit of morse code getting tapped on to your back. Could be subliminal (sp?) messaging - "go into the spa now and spend big on a treatment, have dinner tonight in SS United States...":D On a more serious note, yes, they were fantastic. Thye did originally charge though but imagine found it hard policing due to the pool being so easily accessed from the main pool area. We were up there every morning. We don't have the option to pay on Rotterdam, no thalasso pool:( . Sure not going to affect our experience though. Any jacuzzi will suffice.
