We will be in Vancouver for 2 days before boarding the Coral Princess. We plan on taking the trolley but would also like to see Capilano Bridge and the new Rainforest treetop walk. Can you get toe Capilano by public transportation?

You can get to Capilano Suspension Bridge by public transit. To plan this trip, go to their Trip Planning site. I used the landmark feature for searching a route to the bridge. Have fun! Its quite the bridge

Also, visit this site for a coupon offer - $1 off adult admission.

the bridge is a must do if you are in vancouver. there are buses and tours that will take you there.

when i was there many people were not able to cross the bridge. i did and loved it. IT IS VERY SAFE and a great experience. on the other side there are walking paths, markers that tell you intersting things and concession stands. if you cross the bridge you get a certificate that says you did.

dont miss if it is possible to do so. also the gr.mt ride is a great ride and has a fantastic veiw. at the top you can see a imax movie, man made wooden statues that are awesome, 2 adopted black bears and a lumberjack show.

both capilino and grouse mountain are great spots to go and enjoy. have fun.

Make sure you go to http://www.entertainment.com and get a guide for Vancouver....it will save you a ton and it is only $10 right now. We used it and they have a ton of buy one get one for fees including for the bridge and the transportation to the bridge and tons of restaurant and other coupons....you can't beat it!

Keep in mind that many attractions and restaurants do not honour any coupons during the Summer. If you stand outside the Hyatt Hotel on Georgia and catch the Capilano bus-it will let you off right across the street from the bridge.I think it runs evey 20 minutes or so.

Time for another Cruise!

On our visit to Vancouver last summer before our cruise we went to Lynn Canyon Suspension bridge (had been to Capiliano years ago and wanted to see the difference). Lynn Canyon is a slightly smaller bridge but a wonderful experience not to be missed. There were some great hiking trails once crossing the bridge with some nice scenery. This bridge had no charge (at least it didn't last August). Enjoy your trip!!

Can you do Capilano Bridge and Grouse Mountain in one day? Will it take even less time? Or more? Is there public transportation from the bridge to Grouse Mountain? I was hoping to do these 2 things the first day we're in Vancouver (we have about 2 1/2 days).

You can do both in one day. If you like hiking then plan a little more time at Grouse-also good place for lunch.
Take the Capilano bus-catch it outside the Hyatt hotel. It will take you right across the street from Capliano Canyon and the bridge.

Time for another Cruise!

We took the seabus across to N Vancouver and from there hopped on a bus to the bridge. It was very easy and we even got re-imbursed for the seabus from a coupon the trolley driver had given us the day before. The bridge and treetops are not to be missed!!!We used the entertainment book also and got our money back a few times over. I loved Vancouver and would go back in a heartbeat!!!!

gypsy is right about vancouver. it is a great city and i cant wait to go back. i hope in the future to spend more than one day before a cruise there. a week would be a good vacation. it really is a wonderful city with lots of great things to do, see and fabulous food. i really liked capilino bridge and had a great time at grouse mountain. cant wait to go back and spend more time in china and gas town. and i want to walk the sea wall when the ships are coming in. now that would be a fabulous way to spend a morning.
