I will be going on the Sea in Jan and was curious as to whether you can get chips for the tables using your sea pass-id card or whatever they call it at NCL. I know with RCCL I was able to but wanted to be sure if it was possible with NCL. Also, that way if I am running low on cash for other things I can buy chips and then turn them in getting cash back. My sea pass card will be guaranteed with a credit card so having cash on that account won't be an issue. Thanks for and help.

Yes, you can charge chips to your onboard account at the casino cashier. There is no surcharge for the service, unlike Princess where they charge a 3% fee (one of my few complaints about Princess).

I believe there is a cash limit, either per day or per cruise, that you can put on the onboard account. Sorry I can't remember the limit amounts, but they have a sign near the casino cashier cage with this info posted. Good luck.
