Excursion cancellation

One of our excursions got cancelled several days after we booked. In our case, I found that the company that handles the bookings subcontracts with individuals that operate the excursions. The excursions operator informed the booking company that they were full when the booking company thought they still had room. We just went with another excursion.

On one trip to Alaska, my trip to see bears was cancelled. The tour desk told me they had cancelled ALL trips with that provider as they had had TWO crashes within the past 2 weeks!! Luckily for me she put me on the wait list with the other provider and I was able to go with them so I stayed healthy and alive AND saw the bears!! Other times excursions have been cancelled because of weather and then you get your money back and start looking for something else!!
