Question regarding AC suites on NCL POH and recommendations on luaus?

We are currently booked on NCL POH cruise in Jan 08 and wanted to hear from anyone on their experiences pros and cons and pictures if available on the AC Penthouse suites. The NCL site is not very helpful for we see an AB suite as the picture and the descriptions are the same as well.

Also any recommendations on an authentic luau on any of the islands? Are or will there be any CC on this cruise and how can we become a part of this?

Can't help you on the suites but did get experience two Luaus, Germaine's on Oahu http://www.best-luaus.com/Germaines%20Luau/

and the Old Lahaina on Maui. http://www.oldlahainaluau.com/index_main.html

 

The Old Lahaina was fantastic, they really do a first class job.

Germain's involved a long bus ride and is down in an industrial park with picnic tables. Had we not seen them first, it would have been a huge disappointment compared to Lahaina.

Hi, and welcome to Cruise Critic! :) I hate to suggest splitting up your questions, but you'll obtain the most knowledgeable replies if you:

 

1) Post the question about AC suites on POH on the Norwegian Cruiselines board here at CC;

 

2) Post the question about luaus on the Hawaii Ports of Call board;

 

and 3) visit the Roll Call board for Norwegian and see if there's a roll call for your cruise.

 

In all three cases do a search first (the search button is at the top of the screen for each forum); for many questions there is a wealth of information already posted if you just do a search for it (particularly something like luaus in Hawaii). Sometimes a frequently-asked question just doesn't generate a lot of replies because posters think "I just replied to this, with links and photos, a week ago." Hope that helps you get started using the wonderful resource that CC offers. :)
