Is The Web Cam From Manhattan's Battery Park Working

Hi, does anyone have the link to the web cam from Manhattan's Battery Park.

I used to be able to use it in order to see views of the Brooklyn Terminal across from Governors Island. The web cam also showed views of Staten Island, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the Verrazano Bridge.

This was a great web cam to see the QM2 and sometimes the QE2 when docked in Brooklyn.

Thanks for any help.

Hi Terry....I think you['re talking about the same one I used to use last year...it was great but unfortunately seems to be defunct. If you looked at the URL it started with 66*****? Gone...I emailed to ask why and never got a response. However, the Empire State one is great once you get the hang of it. I watched her sail last Friday all the way to the bridge...

This one is of the area where you will see her stern when docked,...,the front of her is behind the buildings

Form this, play with the slide on the right....use the choose a view to see other places like the Statue and when you want to pull something out of a view, use your curser to draw a box around that section. Just play with it...it worked fine in daylight. Unfortunately we sail after dark when it will be difficult to pick her out from the city lights

Cheers, penny

Do you mean this one ??

http://www.hudsonriverlive.com/index.html

It gives a great live stream view of New York Harbour from Battery Park to Statue of Liberty - unfortunately I think it gets very busy and I have been unable to get further than the log on page for a long time.

Hi Ken.....That's the one I meant too. I emailed them and nothing...I don't think it's that it's that busy, I just don't think it's there anymore. I've tried it at various times when no ship was in and nothing. But the other one worked well to watch the sailing altho the close up shots weren't as good as the other site was.

Hi Penny and Ken,

Thanks for your responses. I have the two web cams you mentioned bookmarked and do use them.

The web cam from Battery Park was so good for viewing the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. It was possible to move the camera and zoom in and see cruise ships docked in Bayonne also.

Maybe all of us Cunard people burned out the web cam at Battery Park. Are all of you familiar with: http://www.kroooz-cams.com I have been viewing the QE2 and the QM2 in Halfax with the Port Cam available on this web site.

Till we meet on the QM2...........Terrence

Hi Terry....we might just have burned it out. It was a fight sometimes to control the camera when she was sailing!!!

I start my day with Kroooz cams...got to see where our gal is every day!!;)

Not long now...

Cheers, Penny
