ElizabethMarie Posted June 2, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2004 Am interested in taking a van tour of the WhitePass-Klondike hwy for our family of four as an alternative to the train trip. Has anyone used Southeast tours, or Frontier Excursions or any other operator? Am open to suggestions. Should I book ahead of time or wait until I get into port? We will be in Skagway on June 22nd. lmcd Posted June 2, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 2, 2004 Used Frontier Excursions. Nice tour. Lunch provided was very good. You can choose from several options when you make your reservations. I'm of course assumng nothing has changed. Their longer tour will take you to Emerald Lake. columbus Posted June 5, 2004 #5 Share Posted June 5, 2004 Go with southeast, take a look at their web page, they also come right into the Yukon witht heir Yukon horseback tour which is fantastic. Their van guides are well versed in the history of the Klondike gold rush, Our families tur to the horses was great. The ride takes you behind Emerald Lake to hills.a view you can't imagine. Good luck. Mary
