Mini Suite Perks...??

You are right the AE on the Sun is a mini BUT unlike the newer ships with 100+ mini suites you do get many of the VIP perks. No butler but when I was on the Sun we checked in with the suite passengers, got early tender tickets, invitation to the VIP cocktail party, etc.

I think the new ships have more penthouses alone then the Sun has Penthouses plus Mini Suites.

That's great to hear. You're probably right about the ratio of mini-suites on newer/larger ships versus the minis and full suites combined on the smaller ships.

Thanks Bigdog.....hope your right about "checked in with the suite passengers, got early tender tickets"!!

How does this work...how does anyone know we are in a suite and that we should get these perks?

I can only speak from my experience in an AB on the Dawn. The concierge arranged everything for us. We received a note from her almost everyday in our cabin on the VIP services offered. One day it was a cocktail party, other days it was for VIP debarkation in port and VIP tendering to GSC. Usually, we needed to meet her at a certain place at a certain time and she escorted us. This was our first time in a suite and it certainly will not be our last :D . What an amazing week!

Jim, do you get free bottled water in an AB?

We got 1 free bottle of water when we first arrived. It was in the ice bucket with the complimentary sparkling wine.

We had to pay for additional water if we wanted. However, we thought that the regular water was fine.

We also requested a pitcher of Ice Tea in the afternoons and the Butler brought it. We used one of the pitchers to make crystal light lemonade for the kids.
