Vancouver Hotel

We will be in Vancouver approx 5-7 days prior to cruise. Like to be near beach and/or have hotel with outdoor pool, along with good location for sightseeing, dining, entertainment.

We are looking at staying in Vancouver for 2-3 days when we get there, going to Victoria for 2 days and then coming back for 1-2 days prior to cruise departure. Where would you look at to stay in Vancouver? Research so far,

has us looking at Fairmont Waterfront or Westin by Stanley Park.

Any other hotels we should be considering, also preference as to these two hotels.

We stayed at the Hotel at Granville Island.....right on the harbor. Enjoyed it immensely! Kinda like a boutique type hotel.
