Fall foliage

Recommended Posts

Can any locals, or those who RECENTLY visited, tell me if the leaves have started to change colors yet? We will be in Halifax & St. John, NB in about 1 1/2 weeks. Thanks!

I live in Halifax.

The leaves are starting to change although the colors are not very bright. There are some reds and yeallows but mostly shades of brown. I read in the news that they may not get as bright because the weather has been quite a bit warmer than usual the past month. It hasn't been getting cold enough at night to get the vibrant colours.

The leaves are changing Yellow in Saint John, NB

If you are going inland (where the temp dips down more at night) the leaves will be turned more)

1.5 weeks I'm sure you'll have nice colours to look at.

We were there the first week of October and "nothing". We were told it was because they had not had their first cold snap yet.

But we did see WHALES several times!!! Sorry I will take whales over leaves any day.

We had a great time by the way. Loved Saint John and Halifax!!!
