Football on the Liberty

I set sail on the Carnival Liberty on the 21'st. Does the ship broadcast football games. I was hoping to catch the Sunday nights football game between the Steelers and the Broncos which is the 8:15 game and will broadcast on NBC. Just wondering if there was any chance to catch the game or not. Go Steelers.

Yes, they might even have it on the big screen on the Lido deck. I know they do that with the Monday Night games. If not you can catch it at the sports bar or in your cabin.

Last year when we sailed the Liberty, the stations actually came from Denver, ( I am a Colorado Native and live in the Denver Metro Area). The games could be seen in the Glove Bar, just off of the Casino. Also the MNF game was on the Lido Big screen, I did not watch the Sunday night game last year, in was dinner time and I had spent the entire day in the Glove Bar, so I was ready for something other than football. You will have to get some one in there early to change the channels, as they like to show the ESPN from Europe and like to show Soccer, but I bugged someone long and hard and got the stations changed so that I could get the pre-game shows. They will have half the sets tuned to the two different games in the morning and depending on the afternoon game only the one station was tuned in.

I am hoping they will be showing the Lions/Bear game on the 28th. My fiancee is a diehard Lions fan (I try to not get embarrassed when he wears his jersey out in public, which it may be on him that day on the ship) and is hoping he can see the game while on board. I thought they were playing Denver, so thought, yeah it will be on, but now not sure.....

At least you'll have no problem following the PITT game on the 20th, right? Oh, thats right, Wannstedt sucks, so who cares. I'm hoping to get to see some Pitt hoops games during my cruise, but I hear you on the Stillers. It'd be tough to miss a game.
