Coral Reef Cuts

If you were to be cut or get an abrasion from a coral reef, what should you do?

Same things you do with any cut or abrasion - nothing different. Bactine or Rubbing Alcohol to disinfect, keep the cut clean. If you're on a tour boat, just show it to the guides, they'll take care of you. If you're on your own, go to the pharmacy and get some gauze to cover it and keep it clean if it's gnarly. If it's really deep, head to the hospital to get stitches.

Almost all abrasions from coral are light, superficial, scratches, that hurt, but just need some disinfecting after you're done snorkeling. I've got scraped up by coral plenty of times, I just keep right on snorkeling. Then when I get done, I clean it and forget about it. No biggie.
