question about Paradise Beach

Hopefully Tom will be around to answer this question ASAP. We are leaving friday. We plan to go to paradise beach next week with my kids (2 and 7). I am a little concerned about the jelly fish reports. Is this something that is a concern at your beach too? What can you tell me about it? Should we plan on playing in the sand or should we be ok in the water? Any info would be great.

This is the last post on the "questions about paradise beach" thread (the really long one) that mentions jellyfish. I don't know if things change with the seasons.

was true about Paradise Beach, was there 4/17/07 with family. Got there so early they actually weren't open yet, but had full use of facilities anyway, stayed from 8am-2pm! Kids got plenty of use out of playthings in water for $9.00, and food was outstanding! Martin was our waiter, cudos to him!!! Had fajitos and conch creviches?, girls had cheese quasidiilias, outstanding! Corona's were ice cold and smooth going down. The only drawback for the day was tiny jellyfish, looked like thimbles, matter of fact I think thats what they called them. At one time there were hundreds of them floating around. As long as kids keep on the move they didn't bother them. Martin brought us some vinager when one of my girls got a small sting. I was impressed that one of the Paradise employees was floating around on kayak picking up the bigger ones around the areas kids were playing! No worries though...they said a storm a couple nights before had stirred them up!
