Santiago Hotels in downtown area

Hi,

Has anyone used the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Santiago. Other hotel we were

thinking about is booked for the three nights that we need in Jan. 2005. We

could try the Funadora (unsure of spelling) but the Crowne Plaza is suppose

to be more American. It is a 4 or 5 star high rise hotel with pool and very

close to Provencia area. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks! Clare

We stayed three nights at the Crowne Plaza in Santiago in 2001, and thought it was very nice. It's centrally located and near the Metro. We plan to stay there again in January after our Infinity cruise.

We book on the http://www.ichotels.com site for the best rates; ours will include breakfast. What we liked most about the hotel was the way the staff treated us--like they valued our being there. The free internet in the business center in the lobby was nice, too.
