Hi, I'm leaving for the aruba cruise and just needed to know:

 

-are there irons in the staterooms? If not, does it take a while to get it from the steward or should we just bring one?

 

-Do the islands take US dollars? (st thomas, st martin, aruba, Curacao) or do i have to exchange currency?

There are no irons in the rooms, and there is no need to exchange currency. Everyone loves to take US money.

Also, you will not be able to get an iron in your room. Just send it out for pressing the prices are very good. I never iron DH shirts before we leave I just put them on hangers, pack them and give the to the room steward on the first night and the next day we have beautifully pressed shirts.

:) I used to take my iron with me when I cruised, but the past couple of years I decided it was just easier to send what I needed pressed to the ship's laundry - cost isn't bad and more of a vacation for me.

Downey Wrinkle Release works well too...I bring a small bottle w/us for touch ups. We brought a small travel iron the first time and never used it.
