pholter Posted October 26, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 26, 2007 We did the all day tour called "Best of Barbados" and it was just that! It's the best of land and sea and was definitely one of the highlights of our cruise... :)
SandySeas Posted October 27, 2007 #3 Share Posted October 27, 2007 We, too, are interested in a Glory tour. But from their website we are not sure if there is actual beach time involved (and if so how much) or just driving past to site see. We would appreciate any info on this before we book

We would appreciate any info on this before we book Our particular tour didn't have beach time, but we had time on a boat for snorkeling, sunning, checking things out through the glass bottom, etc. You might email sarah from the website to ask if any current tours involve beach time though since she does have several tours to choose from. ukbballfan Posted November 1, 2007 #5 Share Posted November 1, 2007 We used Glory two years ago and I wasn't impressed. We were told to stand by a blue windmill, I believe it was, and their driver would pick us up...trouble was the windmill blew down 2 months prior. We asked some locals and they guided us to the pick up spot. 20 minutes after the supposed pick up time I called their office and gee, they had forgotten about us. They sent another driver to pick us up and instead of pointing out the sites, he spent the next 15 minutes trying to figure out who to unload us on. We did the caves, Bathsheba, and lunch with that group and they had a cab meet us at the animal park to take us to the beach and then back to the ship. All in all it wasn't a terrible tour, just chaotic. The fact that the beach at Bathsheba was the prettiest we'd ever seen made up for alot of the shortcomings. If you don't snorkel, the glass bottom boats make the water part very enjoyable as the giant sea turtles like to "pose" for you.
