Josh'sMom628 Posted October 29, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 29, 2007 Does anyone know how to figure out which dining room has which dinner seating?? I'm sailing on the Valor next month and have seen some comments about the Washington dining room having better atmosphere-- any comments from previous valor cruisers? KenMo Posted October 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 29, 2007 Seating for Washington (aft): 5:45 and 8:00 Seating for Lincoln (midships): 6:15 and 8:30 I don't know about the atmosphere being better in one dining room or the other, but I prefer the aft dining room. I love to get a table in the very back.....the view is great while eating!
richkinkade Posted October 29, 2007 #3 Share Posted October 29, 2007 According to this review, the Washington Dining Room has the 8:00 seating. http://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/memberreview.cfm?EntryID=33612 That would make the early seating there 5:45. The Lincoln Dining Room would have 6:15 and 8:30. http://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/memberreview.cfm?EntryID=33583

LHP Posted October 29, 2007 #5 Share Posted October 29, 2007 We always get the AFT dining room, because we have the earliest dining time guaranteed.
rain_bowbrite Posted October 29, 2007 #6 Share Posted October 29, 2007 Typically the earlier seatings have the aft dining and the later seatings have the midship. So the 5:15 and 8:00 will have the aft and the 5:45 and 8:30 have the midship. I prefer the midship dining room because there is less motion and it is usaully during dinner service that the captian seems to speed up the ship. I have onyl sailed Fantasy class on carnival though and you may feel less motion on a larger ship which is what I found to be true on RCCL Explorer. Have a great cruise. I think they are sooooooo cool. Thanks Iceman I am glad that you like them. I don't want to get in trouble for advertising but look closely at the countdown and you will see a word. Go there and look for where it says custom countdown. You have to change the setting of you CC account to allow for using html code and I had to delete a lot of the html code from the countdown to get it to display without alot of advertising attached to it. Hope this helps.:D Jodie

Goldwing01PA Posted October 29, 2007 #10 Share Posted October 29, 2007 Was on Valor March 07 and was seated in the Washington Dining room (Aft) the service was excellent. You are assigned your dining room based on where your cabin on the ship is.The other one is the Lincoln Dining room (Forward) and is closer to the Ivanhoe Theater.Interior of both the same.To make changes you have to see the Dining room host after you board.Enjoy your cruise.
