Hi my wife and I are heading to the Caribbean this Friday with P&O for 2 weeks. I have a few questions - I'm also new to forums so if you could bear with me.

I want to but a watch and I know the make,model and price here in the UK - where is the best place to buy?

 

My wife was thinking about buying a diamond ring - would you recommend anywhere or don't take the risk?

 

Re casual evening wear for gents - is it worth taking any long-slieved shirts or will it be too warm on board.

It might be cold on board - it all depends on the air conditioning.

My wife says "go for it" but haggle. Branches of the chain "Columbian Diamonds" on most islands.

 

The price will halve - then say it's too much - and then start to walk away - the price will then drop further.

Without a doubt St Maarten, it has the lowest taxes amongst the Caribbean islands. This is the place were the crew buy. Shop away from the tender piers the shops get cheaper

Again St Maarten, shop around, in our experience price should be about a third of UK prices.

With the aircon. it can get quite chilly on board, I take long sleeved shirts

for this reason.
