Rare dshefter Posted November 8, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2007 My wife and I have booked an 8:30 a.m. excursion in St. Lucia (Zip lining) and wanted to know if the Group Babysitting on the Pearl opens a little earlier than 9 a.m. for this particular port. We have a 4 1/2-year-old daughter who can't do this particular excursion and we'll need to put her in group babysitting for the 4 hours we are on this particular excursion. But the NCL Web site says group babysitting doesn't open until 9 a.m. on Shore Days. Can someone tell me if they adjust for the days the ship gets into port at 8 a.m. and there are early excursions? Thanks.
mrleo33 Posted November 8, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 8, 2007 I am 99% sure that they open sitting on port days 30 minutes before the first tour is scheduled to depart.

DAGVBSB Posted November 8, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 8, 2007 I am 99% sure that they open sitting on port days 30 minutes before the first tour is scheduled to depart. That is for the NCL Sponsored tours...not privately scheduled tours btw. I also believe that they close for an hour or two for staff lunch as well. I will have to look back at my recent cruise Daily's.
DAGVBSB Posted November 8, 2007 #5 Share Posted November 8, 2007 Never Mind...I just looked it up. Group Babysitting is available from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on port days. It is the At Sea days where they close from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Rare dshefter Posted November 8, 2007 Author #6 Share Posted November 8, 2007 We are on an NCL-sponsored tour at 8:30 a.m. in St. Lucia. I'm hoping Group Babysitting begins around 8 a.m. on this day, so we can put our 4 1/2-year-old daughter there and we can make the excursion in time. We're doing zip-lining, so we can't take her on this particular tour.
