clever idea re: formal dresses for kids

I recently sent out an e-mail to all my girlfriends with little girls, that basically said check your closets for fancy party dresses that you aren't using anymore. Especially with the holidays coming up, I know I'm checking out what fits and what needs to go before shopping for new holiday dresses. I thought after the holidays, we'd have a fashion show with the borrowed dresses, and let my daughter choose what she'd like to use for the cruise. The gals were all on-board, pun intended, and I already have 10 dresses offered for our February cruise! I hate to spend the money on formal dresses when my daughter will basically wear them for around 2 hours then want to change to go to AO anyways! Just thought I'd share what I thought was a clever idea!;)
