Is Spirit better than NCL to Mexico?

We are booked on the Spirit for 08. NCL Star is the same price, but does the traditional 3 ports (late 08 they are changing itinerary). Spirit seems to get mixed reviews on the 'exotic' Mexican ports.

 

Should I stay with Spirit? Or go to NCL-reviews seem to be about the same-trying to find someone who can convince me to stay on the Spirit!

I sailed the Spirit several times. The aft extended Bal is great and the wraps even better. I love the ship and her crew. I have sailed NCL but I love Spirit calss ships, especially the Spirit

i would go with the more exotic ports... is the spirit going to manzanillo, ixtapa and acapulco when you go???

have you been the other ports that the star does? pv cabo and mazatlan?

 

im asking since in oct of 2008 ncl sun will be sailing 11 nights from San francisco to mexico visiting all of the ports , PV , cabo, ixtapa , acapulco and mazatlan...

I haven't been on NCL, but the people I traveled with in January on the Spirit said that the Spirit was way better.

 

We had a great time on the Spirit and plan on traveling on her again to Alaska.

 

Our favorite stop was Zihuantanjo/Ixtapa, we had a great day lounging on the beach and swimming. We also loved Acapulco, we did a private tour with Rosie Diaz and it was amazing!

I would say stay on the spirit. We did NCL Star in the beginning of Oct. It was good,but not great. The food was a bit of a disappointment. Service was good though.

We are booked for the Spirit in April 08. (little bit different iten.)
