No this isn't about the fuel surchage exactly.....more so about dropped ports

If I remember correctly, they dropped the Aruba, and Barbados ports so they could save on the cost on fuel. Now that they have started the fuel surcharge, and we're paying it, maybe they should add those ports back on. If we're paying for fuel we should be able to go to the ports we would like to see don't you think? Just a thought.:)

They still call on Barbados on a weekly basis. Doubtful Aruba will get added anytime soon.

If it was because of the fuel costs, then why does princess still do those ports:confused: Also owned by Carnival corp.

Princess charges more???? Just checked February 3rd just for the sake of a date and Princess' cheapest cabin is $649 while carnivals is $509. Looks like Princess is going to Aruba every other week while Carnival doesn't go at all.

We are doing the the crown out of San juan in Dec in a balcony for the same price we paid for the Valor last Dec. Plus $100 obc per person.

But you are right the Destiny is pretty much priced rock bottom. And understandable considering the reviews.
