Low cost budget

Any ideas on what to do in Jamaica/Ocho Rios when on a tight budget?

 

We want to get off the ship, but we can't afford to spend a whole lot of money since we have stuff planned in Grand Cayman.

 

Any ideas? What should we do?

Have you considered grabbing a cab to Dunn's River Falls? It is not far from the pier and it is beautiful. There is a small beach there (if my memory serves me right). It cost $15 pp to enter the falls. I am not sure how much the cab would cost but a search on these boards may tell you that. I do know you have to do your research to make sure you get in the right cab. I have taken cabs in Jamaica without any problem but I have read other folks have had trouble. Have fun whatever you decide!

We are considering going to the falls actually. My brother is on break from college so he doesn't have a whole lot of money. I may just spot him some because I really want to see it.

Margaritaville is just about 100 yards from the dock. It has hot tubs and the cool slide that goes through the bar area. Also, there is a beahcright at the Village shops which is just to the right side of the cruise terminal
