I am cruising in April on the Caribbean Princess. We book a BF Balcony room guaranteed and were just placed in a BA stateroom. We are pretty happy with the upgrade but not really sure what it means. Does anyone know what the differences are between a BA and BF? Sq feet? Room location?

It is the location, midship.

All the B balcony cabins are very similar except for balcony size and location. The differences come from a few with non-convertible beds, wheelchair access, and those that will sleep 3 or 4 people with pull-down bunks.

Congrats on the upgrade!! Which cabin?

I think it depends on the location of your BA cabin. Is it on Caribe deck? If so, you will have a larger balcony. Is it on Lido deck? Same size cabin, but regular size balcony. Also the cabins on Lido are toward the front of the ship and closer to the pool action, which some people like and some don't. IMHO, the BA on Caribe deck is a great upgrade.:)
