neverpar Posted November 15, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 15, 2007 I believe the only way there is by boat....and it didn't look wheelchair friendly to me...the path from the pier would be hard to manouver a wheel chair, also it's very sandy... sueandkent Posted November 16, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2007 Definitely only by boat and I've never seen anyone with serious mobility issues there and I've been 4 times. It is beautiful though. Try emailing Vallarta Adventures and ask them.
tequilasunrise Posted November 18, 2007 #5 Share Posted November 18, 2007 Lovely shore excursion, but I'm accustomed to a family member in a wheelchair, so I know what to look for, and I'd look at something else. She didn't go with us on this one. Even if they say they "can" do it, I wouldn't try- I'm not sure of Mexican w/c standards but by US standards it's not. There's no way she'd get into the bathrooms (steep stairs and lots of them, no handrails, etc). Steep sandy paths, you step into the boat, etc. Uneven terrain. This is set on a hillside, and the only way in/out is by boat. Sorry :o
doublenickelgal Posted December 4, 2007 #6 Share Posted December 4, 2007 Wonderful spot, but hillside location can be even difficult for people on two legs. In the morning, paving stones were wet and slippery and the ground was uneven in parts. I rolled my ankle and skinned my knee. They took good care of me though.
