marcogilbert Posted November 16, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2007 Hi, We booked a cat 11 stateroom right in the middle of the ship (#6569) a long time in advance (16 months) for our next December cruise on the Magic. We just received our documentation and we have been upgrade to a cat 9 stateroom (#2612). This new stateroom is bigger  and have a porthole view , but it is located just bellow the galley so I am a little worried about the noise :(. Does somebody have any insight about those stateroom ? Is it a good upgrade  Thanks

metrowon Posted November 22, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 22, 2007 We've cruised 6 times on Disney. I'm going to deckplans to check, I'll get back with an opinion only. Metrowon
metrowon Posted November 22, 2007 #5 Share Posted November 22, 2007 6569 is so centrally located, that if you have any weather conditions you'll be better off here. It looks like 2612 will be beneath a resturant, but with a window, and further back on the ship. Amidships is preferable, if motion sickness sometimes affect you. 6569 offers you no natural light, as opposed to 2612 with a window. 6569 probably would offer you better overall sleep and noise reductions. Your elevator time, or stair time is also better on six deck. Be careful, look at the deck plans, we've chosen deck six, amidships, seven times now. Rinderoo Posted November 23, 2007 #8 Share Posted November 23, 2007 I was in 2618 on my last Disney Cruise and never heard a thing and I am a light sleeper. Just bring earplugs and use them if you need them. (I sometimes use only one earplug in a hotel or on a cruise, but never two.)
bethc1952 Posted November 23, 2007 #9 Share Posted November 23, 2007 We were in 2601, which is really just across the hall, and never heard anything from upstairs. It's a great location, congrats on the upgrade! Are you on the Dec. 8 Eastern by any chance? If so, stop and say hello if you see us on board!
