Just a quick airlines baggage question Please

I'm sorry to have to ask this question. I have been to Delta's web site , but confused. I've tried calling but with the weather in Fla. and all, there line has been busy all morning.

 

My question is I understand the size of the luggage, but on the weight limit is were the question is.

 

The web site says: Checked luggage free 2 bags and (items) not to excess 50 pounds.

 

Does this mean that (each) piece of luggage checked has a weight limit of 50 pounds or less or that the weight of the (2) pieces of luggage combined has to be 50 pounds or less for no charge.

It's fifty pounds for each of two checked bags. If that is insufficient, AirTran Airways allows three bags, each weighing up to 70 pounds. Hope this helps.
