Glory Aft Cabin

Maybe, it depends how much you are sensitive to noise & how much activity is going on above you at any giving moment. Me I don't care where I am on a ship just as long as I am on one. Also noise does not usually bother me & if it did I would have to just go up to the Lido & join in the fun...LOL. :D Except for in the early morning as then their working & no working for me on a cruise.

Have a great cruise!!!

You actually have a 9A with a nice big balcony! I don't think noise will be much of an issue. There are tables and chairs above your cabin, but by the evening hours I do not think there will be as much activity.

Here is a shot of the port side of the Glory. Your cabin will be on the starboard side, but you can see that your balcony will be longer than the others.

Thanks for the pics. I am try to assure myself this is a good thing, since my husband changed us from another balcony room - right next to our friends. It looks almost like everyone can look right into our balcony

My DH "surprised" me with an upgrade to an Aft cabin on the Glory (8449). It is apparently directly under the Lido deck. Will this be a problem?

That's a SUPER cabin. You should be able to get some sun on your balcony or back up into the shade if you prefer. Last cruise we were in #8404 and it was in the shade 90% of the time which I didn't much like. We only heard chairs moved around once for a brief period on the entire cruise, so noise shouldn't be an issue. Glory's a great ship, enjoy!

And while we heard some chair scraping noises, it wasn't a big deal (limited duration, not all the time). This cabin has regular dividers on both sides, so the only way the neighbors are seeing in, is if they are really looking. Also the back of the Lido deck on the Conquest style ships is glassed in, so folks from up above can't see into your balcony. If they lean way out on the glass, they might be able to see your railing.

So, as I see it, your biggest problem is how to go back to a regular cabin after having this one!!!!!!

Have a great cruise.
