Christine in MO Posted November 29, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2007 I have set up several "fake" reservations on the Carnival web-site including past guest #, etc and the price is never any different than the "advertised" price on the itenerary page. I am doing something wrong or do past guest not always get a discount? TIA
Carnival Platinum Cruiser Posted November 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2007 Some cruises do not have past guest discounts. I have found the carnival website is often priced higher in general anyways. Try a good on line agency that has search boxes that include state of residency AND past guest #s. I think you will find quite often you will get a better price. If u are eligible for military discounts that will most often lower the price even further (capacity controlled). Wennfred Posted November 29, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 29, 2007 Maybe you need to include the special past discount code for the price to change, try using CDP1 Fred
skylock Posted November 29, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 29, 2007 The two codes I know are dp1 (past guest rate and has to be used even if your past guest number is used to get the rates from the web site) and pse (senior rate as in at least one person in the cabin is 55 or older) If you get emails from Carnival, look all the way to the bottom and see what codes it says to use. Use the last three letters/numbers. Not all codes work on all bookings. Some codes are only available at certain times. You just have to keep trying.
