Druke I Posted November 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2007 When she came out as Royal Princess, she was considered fairly large. We sailed 4 times on her as Royal Princess, and she remains one of my favorites. Very good seakeeping abilities, should you hit rough water. LibraLass41 Posted December 1, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 1, 2007 Artemis is in the middle of a extensive 2 week refir - to include new bathrooms and cabin decor - she'll be even better now!:) As a Arcadia - child free fan, I might try her myself one day soon! daffodil Posted December 2, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted December 2, 2007 Glad to get some good reports of Artemis. I've had enough of big ships. LIbra lass, looks as if you only do P&O, they are our favourites too. When are you off next? Daff
LibraLass41 Posted December 2, 2007 #5 Share Posted December 2, 2007 June Off in 5 months on Arcadia again, sailing into Venice, and to Dubrovnik, Split and Corfu to name a few. Then in September on Ventura. Suex
daffodil Posted December 3, 2007 Author #6 Share Posted December 3, 2007 Sue, sailing into Venice has got to be one of the best cruise experiences, i envy you. Have you done this itinerary before? Dubrovnik is lovely and all the coast you will sail along is so beautiful. Isn't it great to look forward to it. Almost as good as doing it. june
LibraLass41 Posted December 3, 2007 #7 Share Posted December 3, 2007 No June, never done it before. I have a starboard balcony as well, as told its starboard sail-in. Can't wait! Down your way on 27th Dec, staying at Sinah Warren Hotel on Hayling Island for a 2n 'twixmas' break after Christmas. Druke I Posted December 3, 2007 #8 Share Posted December 3, 2007 Never sailed into Venice - but did sail out of there, 8-00, on Golden Princess' trans-Atlantic to NYC - a very rough trip West of the Azores!
daffodil Posted December 4, 2007 Author #9 Share Posted December 4, 2007 Sue, you must go to Gunwarf quays for your shopping trip. Some good outlet shops. Good eating places too.You have better shops in Bath than Portsmouth. have a good time and let me know what you get. Michael, In or out of Venice is just as wonderful. Don't think I could ever go there too many times. June.
