Caymen - Eden Rock Snorkeling

I have heard the fish are aggressive at this snorkeling site. What does that mean? Aggressive if you are feeding them? Aggressive all the time? Do they want a a small bite of me?:eek:

 

Can some one who has experience at this site please explain?

I have snorkeled at Eden Rock. By the way, you can walk there easily from the cruise ship, and you don't have to pay to snorkel in the area. Aggressive means that the fish are used to being around people, and are not afraid of you. If you have fish food in your hand, they will come and try to take it from you. The first time this happened to my wife, it startled her so much, she dropped the bag of fish food. A fairly large fish took off with the bag in its mouth, with several other fish following it. No need to be concerned though, I have never had a fish bite me in any fashion that was intentional, or painful.;)

When we dived there last year, there were several large tarpoons. They were swimming close to us. My dive partner was not used to that, and wanted to wave them away. I was ok with them myself. I don't think it's anything to worry.

Two years ago when we were there, few large Tarpoons .....watching us like we were watching them...... made DD a little nervous, but no issues and they soon moved on, not sure I would call it aggressive, just interested and swimming in the same water.... Saw other smaller fish, but had no food and they did not show any "interest" in us.
