Just finished my cruise 12/22 on the Glory western. I will be glad to answer any questions.

Also, I e-mailed the opc(Ocean Players Club) prior to cruise and gave them booking info. I received choc covered strawberries, A free photo coupon at dinner and a free drink in the casino. It was a nice touch. Also received a glory pin at the captians past guest party. That was also a nice touch. My room was not vacuumed when we arrived and our room steward offered us two brand new bathrobes if we did not mention it to house keeping. He also let us have the new towels. We never had a problem again. He made sure everything was perfect the rest of the trip.

Excellent. It's good to hear of folks going out of their way to provide you with a positive cruise experience. Some might say that he cost Carnival the price of two robes and towels, but I'd say he earned repeat business for Carnival by his actions. Carnival is the type of company who recognizes individuals based on reports of their actions and I would hope that they recognize his actions as positive for the company even if they never know that it occured. :)

We will be sailing her Feb 2-9. Can't wait. I have seen lots of comments that the ship is too crowded...opinion?

 

Also, are you considering posting the capers or menus? If you do, would love to see them. Any fun excursions you went on? This is our 3rd time on this itinerary, so not sure what we will do yet... The shows..worth attending? We usually skip them since they are always the same on every ship we've gone on, the same skits for newlywed game, same jokes. Just curious...

This Ship Is Large. The Only Time It Was Really Crowded Was At The Captians Cocktail Party. People Were Comming Out Of The Wood Work. Other Than That, It Was Just Fine.

Are the cabin doors on the Glory metal?

Did you happen to know if they were receiving FOX via satellite while you were on? Also do they have a sports bar? When i was on the glory's sister ship the freedom back in September they didn't, i am hoping they have one on the glory.

I do believe the doors are metal.

 

I can't remember if it was fox or not the local stations were Denver Colorado. They had sports on several flat screens in the bar area's. I did watch the Jag's play. As for a dedicated sports bar I'm not sure. But there were many people watching sports on the flat screens.

Yes, the glory has a sports bar. "On the Green" I believe is the name.

 

Has anyone else noticed a lack of customer service on the Glory? :(

Well, if there are any customer service issues on the Glory, I hope they get them fixed soon! We sail May 31.

Just checking back to see if the capers were posted. I am just counting the hours, and have a month to go yet.

 

Question: Did you find that there was room for grabbing that lounge chair on the deck, or were they filled up by 9 as a previous poster stated?
