on what ship are you referring to.

I have stayed in this cat cabin before on the conquest class ships in cabin 6227 i believe and it was due to the size of the room.

the cabin was sideways but a bit longer so two beds on the floor wouldnt fit. if your on a conquest class go for cabin # 8357 it still only has one bed on the floor and one upper but it is much bigger.

veiw pics.

Again, these are just samples of those I've been in, and not all look the same. I hope it helps. Have a great cruise!!

Here a pic of 1a on conquest. There 2 beds on each side and a bunk above

each bed on the room we had for the 4 of us. Lucky for us 2 adults and

2 kids.

I may be totally wrong, but (from the picture) that seems much more like a 4A cabin than a 1A.

Great pics. Would anyone happen to have any pics of the category 1A porthole rooms on the Destiny?

http://www.nlgsolutions.com/c/cruisemain.asp

Click on Carnival then Destiny then photos then 360 degree.

This will give you a video 360 of ship areas and stateroom/cabins.

On the second page is one of a 1A porthole cabin......

Enjoy, I have one booked on the Destiny in October for a B2B cruise...:D

I like the Cat 1A cabins that are forward and outside cabins on the Riveria and Main decks of the Destiny-class and Conquest-class ships. These are great bargains because they have the space of an outside cabin and windows at the lowest price on the ship. The downside is they have a twin bed and the sofa made up as a single. The picture above of the Conquest shows the layout. Very nice. There can be a bit more noise when the ship docks early in the morning from the bow thrusters but I just turn over and go back to sleep.

Hey GD...Guess we'll be close together. You are going to have fun with this group. I had a great time on the S&S 3 cruise on the Lberty.....:D
