category 1A: uppers and lowers, anyone?

:D Anyone ever stayed in one of these? How was it? Anyone have a picture? The description I saw says that it is the same sq. footage as other inside staterooms, so why only an upper and lower bed? Thanks for any help!

on what ship are you referring to.

I have stayed in this cat cabin before on the conquest class ships in cabin 6227 i believe and it was due to the size of the room.

the cabin was sideways but a bit longer so two beds on the floor wouldnt fit. if your on a conquest class go for cabin # 8357 it still only has one bed on the floor and one upper but it is much bigger.

Here a pic of 1a on conquest. There 2 beds on each side and a bunk above

each bed on the room we had for the 4 of us. Lucky for us 2 adults and

2 kids.

 

It looks tight but it did the job for the last minute price.

I may be totally wrong, but (from the picture) that seems much more like a 4A cabin than a 1A.

Due to the shape of the room, the beds cannot be put together - it's an upper and lower - but the cabin itself is bigger and has a window! Four of these on the Holiday - 215, 217, 210, 212 -

I like the Cat 1A cabins that are forward and outside cabins on the Riveria and Main decks of the Destiny-class and Conquest-class ships. These are great bargains because they have the space of an outside cabin and windows at the lowest price on the ship. The downside is they have a twin bed and the sofa made up as a single. The picture above of the Conquest shows the layout. Very nice. There can be a bit more noise when the ship docks early in the morning from the bow thrusters but I just turn over and go back to sleep.
