I took this great train to Whistler and back from Vancouver. It is a great ttrain. Book the first class cabin if you can. The food was great and the service outstanding. I also agree book early if you can. We took the train in the summer on its first excursion. The train is the best and most relaxing way to get to Whistler. They also take you to your hotel and pick you up for your return trip. A great experience.:)
