Enchantment Itinerary 01/21/08

On the 20th of Dec, I sent an e-mail to RCCL asking if the issues that had been identified on the Enchantment were likely or probable to change the itinerary for the 21 January 08 sailing. I just received a response, it is as follows:

"Thank you for your email.

At this time we are not anticipating the itinerary of the January 21, 2008 sailing of Enchantment of the Seas to be impacted by the electrical issue. We look forward to welcoming you aboard in the near future.

Thank you for choosing Royal Caribbean International.

Normally RCCL has responded to me via e-mail within 1 or 2 days. I am hopeful that the reason this e-mail response took a bit longer was to ensure that the issue was properly researched before being addressed. Am I being too optimistic???? I think if they had some doubt, they would have said they were unsure and they would have added the thing about "itineraries may change without notice". Oh well, as long as the big cans of Fosters remain cold from the bar, its all good !!!

I sure hope you are right, I will remain positive. We are leaving on the 01/26/08 sailing and sure hope that we have a normal sailing. From what I read here, one of the last sailing, 5/days Western caribbean, afforded only 5 hours on land out of entire trip. This was caused by weather issues (too dangerous to tender in Grand Cayman and shortened time in Jamaica because of problems with speed of the ship. It needded it leave early so it would reach next destination on time.

But, I don't let these things bother me, I'm on vacation........You'll be happy with your beer, I'll be happy with all the food that I don't have to cook!!!!! And a glass of wine or two. As long as I can sit back for 5 days and let other people take care of me, I'm happy.

Happy sailing~~~
