allzi Posted January 4, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2008 I know it doesn't happen very often, but is there a possibity a cruise ship would not be totally full when it leaves. Just wondering if the suites were not all booked , if you could ask to upgrade after the ship leaves! And yes!! I 'm a newbie!! lol :D
PINEVIEW01 Posted January 4, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 4, 2008 You used to be able to ask and PAY for and upgrade. Now, maybe from being tired of being asked, they put out the day of sailing that the ship is full and no upgrade available. Doesn't seem to matter how empty the ship is. Rare Captain Funtime Posted January 4, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2008 Very seldom. Most cruises are full. On a few occasions I have been able to upgrade to suites prior to departure for additional $$$.
dml1216 Posted January 4, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 4, 2008 yeah, I certainly wouldn't count on it. Your best bet is to book a guarantee cabin and hope for the best, but expect the worst! hee hee!
