mineral make-up in carryon

do little jars of mineral make-up, ie bare escentuals, have to be in 3 oz containers and put in ziploc bags for carryon or can they be carried on in a regular makeup bag

I use Bare Essentials and since they are powder and not liquid, they do not have to be carried on in 3oz or in a baggie. They can just stay in their usual jars and be put directly through X-ray with your carry-on bag.

 

However, mascara, lip stick and lip gloss do have to go into the baggie.

Okay...this might sound like a really stupid question but, you are talking about carry-on luggage on a plane right?

DUH! It's been a very long week especially when I've been in "Cruise Excitement" mode. (Leaving Monday). Since I got home from work, I've had time to think about this!
