gtaylor Posted January 7, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2008 Take a virtual walk along Front Street or the Boardwalk in my new Picasa Web Albums. Over 300 snapshots document almost every building between the Sea Palace and the RBTT bank next to the Diamond Casino. Front Street is organized by North or South side of the street and location West or East of the Court House -- NE, SW, etc. gary

The Big Booper Posted January 11, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 11, 2008 Nice albums, Gary. Is Picasa a freebie up to a point, like webshots (limited space unless you pay-to-play) or unlimited albums, photos, etc. We are not going back to SXM until Nov on the Indy TA from London to Ft Laud. (edit) Do you use a Nikon ? (from DSCN descriptor on the thumbnail)

gtaylor Posted January 12, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted January 12, 2008 Nice albums, Gary. Is Picasa a freebie up to a point, like webshots (limited space unless you pay-to-play) or unlimited albums, photos, etc. ... (edit) Do you use a Nikon ? (from DSCN descriptor on the thumbnail) Picasa consists of two parts. A desktop photo editing/cataloging system and the Web-based Albums, with a pretty smooth integration between the two. It is a Google product, and for free you get the desktop software and 1 Gig of Web Album space. (I have heard that the free space allocated will be increased soon.) You can purchase additional space; 10 Gig additional is $20/year. If you are using Google Mail, the additional space can be shared between your G-mail space and the Picasa Web space. ..... Yes, as the Exif data indicates, most of these were taken with a Nikon E8800. Some Olympus Stylus 410 shots may have snuck in either here or in my PhotoBucket. gary

gtaylor Posted January 14, 2008 Author #10 Share Posted January 14, 2008 How far where you from the cruise port dock walking to Front Street or the Boardwalk? We willing be traveling on the Constellation in March 2008. Check this map. (click) From the Main Entrance of the Cruise Facility to the closest corner of Front Street is just slightly over 1/2 mile. The walking path will take you just to the left of the '$' near #4 on the map. In the photo albums, that would put you at the first photo of Front Street SE, across from the last photo of Front Street NE. The entire span of Front Street documented in the photos is almost exactly 1/2 mile. gary
