it was headline news here. In short, it was a mess. Much more so for passengers of ships that chose to use their own life boats as tenders. If you were on Inspiration, I believe that you were one of the luckier ones as the larger Cayman-based tenders handled the building seas much better.

Thanks so much for the video and news story. This was indeed how things were playing out that day. My family was one of the luckier ones that made it back to the ship early. There were people tendering back to our ship that were out in those waves on small boats for more than three hours. It was a very scary time. Does this happen here often??

Thanks for starting this thread and thanks drew for the link.

 

We were on the Conquest and tendered to Spotts Bay the following day (Thursday). We used the tender service and it wasn't a bad ride at all. The driver taking us from town back to Spotts Thursday afternoon told us a little about the previous day. Good thing we didn't know about it earlier, or we might have been more nervous about tendering over.

 

Amazing what a difference a day of weather can make.
