Formal Night on Pearl

Sorry, NCL doesn't have formal nights anymore.

They call it "Dress Up Or Not" night now.

You can dress up every night, if you so choose, but most NCL passengers don't dress up on Dress Up night. About 25% of the passengers on the cruises I have taken dress formally on Dress Up night. That includes those who dress up with just shirt and ties. Far less than 10% will be in tuxedoes and evening dresses.

Resort Casual, as NCL advertises, is always appropriate.

The nights usually assigned as Dress Up night are the first and last at sea day.

On the 9 day, "formal" nights are the 2nd night and the 8th night. The majority of people dress up somewhat- very few tuxedos and long dresses- mostly blazers and nice dresses. But, per NCL, it is fine to wear whatever!
